Date : 2008-07-23
Some of you may have received an email today from SCR Webmail Support Team asking your to confirm your user id, password and date of birth.
Delete this message immediately and do not respond to it. This is a classic Phishing technique.
In computing, phishing is the criminally fraudulent process of attempting to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details, by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.
Many of you may have noticed that the email they requested you send the information to is not an scronline.com or webnexus.net email. This is a BIG red flag that the email is fraudulent.
If any of you have replied to the email and given the information, call us immediately so we can change your passwords.
